big lots

Did you get a Big Lots ad in your Sunday paper?  If so there are some great deals!  Big Lots stores do not accept coupons BUT you might be able to take it to Walmart or Target for a price match!  (Not all stores will accept Big Lots ads so you will want to call your store in advance and check!!)

Here are a few highlights:

Boulder Chips $1.50
Use $1/1 HERE
Final Price: .50

Gerber Graduates Granola Bars, Cereal or Smart Sips $1

V-8 Fusion $1.50

Use $1/1 HERE or HERE
Final Price: .50

All laundry Soap $2.50 (2x in 50oz or 3x in 32oz)
Use $2/1 from 2/7 RP
or Use $1/1 from 2/7 RP
Final Price: .50-1.50

Sunny D $1

Use .25/1 from 2/7 SS
Final Price: .75

Thanks Clippin with Carrie,

***Remember with Target you need to bring the entire ad with you and you need to purchase the item and then ask for a refund of the difference at customer service.  I have never price matched at Walmart so maybe a reader can offer tips for that.

I’ve priced matched at W.M. several times. Just bring the ad in w/you and they will change the price when you’re checking out. It’s nice to tell cashier ahead of time that you will be price matching to make it easier for them. I’ve never had a problem at my location.

Anytime I have price matched at Walmart I just tell them the price. I usually have the ad with me just in case. They make the adjustment right at the register. It is great!

Just FYI- my Target does not require that you purchase the price match item first and then get a refund. I just take the ad and the item to customer service and they adjust the price there.

I’ve priced matched at walmart many times before. I’ve always just brought in the ad, and then they scan it, and put in the amount the ad says, and thats all you have to do.

We do not have any Biglots in our area so we do not get an add in the paper. Walmart will allow a printed add from the internet as long as it has the dates of the sale on it. Target will not. :-)

Walmart price matches at the register. I hand them the paper to price match before they ring it up and there isn’t usually any problem.

Take the ad with you and show to the cashier before she rings up that item. Often they glance and do it, while other times they scrutinize it and try to find a way to deny it. I have heard they only price match exact prices, but then I hear of others matching BOGO type deals.

I price match at Walmart every week and it is very easy (at least at my store!). I have yet to have a cashier ask to see the ad but I always have it with me just in case. They will only match on $ amounts, not % off or BOGO.

I did this deal last time it was out with Walmart. I went to Customer Service first and asked them they said yes just take ad to cashier show it to her and she will adjust the price. I got 10 bottles for 5.00!!!

I price match at Walmart all the time! They do it right at the register so you pay the competitor’s sale price right away! It’s pretty easy….just make sure you have the ad with you and the cashier will take care of it before you pay. This has been my experience at all of the Walmarts I have ever shopped at.

You might even want to try doing an ad match on the CVS campbells soup deal. The only soup it excludes is cream of mushroom and at Walmart there is a much better selection of soups!

I did just call my Walmart store and they told me that they DO NOT price match Big Lots! I don’t know if that is just this store or all of them. I guess I would call ahead and check before you go, unless you are going there anyway!

In my past experience just take the ad to walmart show it to the cashier and she makes the ajustment while ringing items.

Price matching at Walmart (at least the Walmart I frequent) is very simple and done at the check-out. I simply tell the cashier that I need a price match on such and such item (before it is rung up) and give her the ad. However, I have not used the Big Lots add and do not know if they would price match on that.

Heather February 28, 2010 at 7:19 PM

You can also just go to customer service at Target with the ad and they will ring you up there. Thats what I do and have had no problem.

Wal-Mart price matches at the register

Charlene February 28, 2010 at 9:23 PM

Julia this just happened maybe 2 months ago- exact same thing actually- and about 2/3 of the store would Pm and the rest wouldn’t. So it is just your store.

I had a problem with price matching then using a coupon. That was at walmart. They finally let me do it but it took some time.

The WM’s that I have price matched in for the most part are fairly simple. Just take the ad to the register and they price adjust it. That being said, I hate going to WM. I’ve only price matched a couple of times at Target, but they did the same thing, and just price adjusted it at the register.

I just asked my Target when I was there tonight and they said they do price match with Big Lots…they actually said they would PM with pretty much anything as long as I had the entire add:)
