I thought I would take things from the beginning and I wanted to show new couponers my system for organizing coupons. You can watch the vlog to see exactly how I do it. I also have included ideas for other ways you can organize them below.

Coupon Wallet HERE or HERE. This is pretty compact and I use mine to hold the stray coupons that I collect throughout the week. This would likely be too small to carry all your coupons. This would also be a handy way to sort all your coupons before you head to the store.

The most popular method and the way to keep the most coupons with you would be the binder system. There is a binder HERE that comes with an expanding file for $19. You can also make your own with the zipper binder HERE and the trading card inserts HERE.

This is my system- I just use a makeup pouch with colored envelopes inside. This system works really well for me and I would recommend looking for a pouch with sturdy sides.

You can also try a larger expanding file like this– I would think this would fit nicely at the front of a shopping cart.
Hi, Thanks so much for the tutorial. It helped me out a lot! I currently use a baseball card binder and its very cumbersome and bulky. I think I’ll try your idea, it gives me a good excuse to go buy a bigger purse(lol). Thanks for all you do!!

i use a photo album the size that holds 200 pictures i like it because it is sturdy it opens flat i can see up to 4 coupons at a time and i can easily flip throught it to see what i have its not to big and bulky for the store and i can find things when i want them!
Wow I do mine the EXACT same way…right down to the colored envelopes lol….Thanks for all you do….
Great video.. i do use the large binder with the baseball size inserts, and another three ring for holding redplum/etc that i havent gotten too.. but i got some great ideas from you because i just dont have the time to keep up with all the coupon clipping and managing. thanks for doing this video 🙂
Thanks for the video – very helpful!
I don’t cut most of the coupons out of the inserts either. I keep them in a filing cabinet in my office sorted by date.
I also use a 8×8 photo album so I can see all the different coupons easier. I find if I can’t see them I won’t use them.
Thanks for all the great idea’s.
Thanks for the video. Gave me a few great ideas. I LOVE your purse too. Where is it from?!?!?
That is a great video. I use a small accordion file for my coupons. Before going to the store, I make a list and take out the coupons I plan to use. Thanks for your ideas and suggestions!
I think it is called Melie Bianco- I went into a boutique was was closing down awhile back and got it for $30 I think. It was a steal because those bags are usually a lot more expensive. Thank you!
Ha! Great minds! I have never seen anyone else with my system.
Yes I will add that idea. I know a lot of people use photo albums and I forgot to mention it.
GREAT idea with the colored envelopes! I actually don’t cut any insert coupons, besides the ones I know I will use through the week, mainly the high value ones. I basically keep an envelope for each store I shop plus one for baby stores, mall stores, and fast food. I’m totally taking your colored envelopes idea, I’m constantly looking for the right envelope! Great vlog!
They had coupon wallets in the $1 section at Target today. I picked one up, in hopes of getting better at using coupons!
I tried a million different things, but couldn’t ever do it myself – i would either not be able to find anything or wouldn’t keep up with it… i finally found the couponizer on another blog, and decided to try it – it’s about the same size as your pouch and was about $20. It seemed like a lot of $ at the time, but i actually use it now, so it’s paid for itself in just a couple months (MFA helps a lot too!) sorry to sound like a commercial but it’s an awesome product others might find useful…
I haven’t tried it so I can’t endorse it but others have told me it only holds a few coupons. It can also be found on Amazon and it looks pretty similar to the first product I posted.
it actually holds a ton – you should ask them to send you one to try out!
also, noticed some people talking about longevity of the product in amazon reviews – my back cover is coming off, but i emailed the company yesterday (a sunday) and within about 15 minutes had a response saying they know there’s a problem, they’re trying to find a better binding, and they’re sending me a new book pronto – so yay for good customer service@
This vlog couldn’t have come at a better time! I’ve been SO frustrated lately because I knew I needed to revamp my current organization system (systemS, actually, since I’m in the middle of changing things it’s kind of all over the place.) I think the system that you use is great and I’m excited to give it a go!
i don’t know if you will still get a notice if i comment on this, but I was just wondering, what are the different categories you divide your coupons into?? I am looking to getting started and want to start off the right way! Thanks!!
Allison I would honestly try and figure out what makes sense to you. This is what I have:
Baby
Meat/Produce
Dairy
Liquids (juices, salad dressings, BBQ sauce etc..)
HBA (personal care items)
Cleaning
Pet
Snack Foods,
Other Foods (tortillas- things like that)
Misc (like bic pens coupons and things)
Free item coupons
and then I have a Safeway one and a Target one.
Thank you, thank you!!
Charlene, I cannot tell you how many times I have had a love/hate relationship w/my coupon system~lol
I found this video and was SUPER EXCITED!! I had just snagged a pack of 50 envel for $3.40 at Staples!! I busted out the envelopes, titled them and used the box as my holder…we’ll see how long the box holds up!
Thanks for all you do!!
Tried to view your video and it said it had been removed?
I also tried to view the video and it said it had been removed. I am looking for a better way to organize my coupons. But without the video, there isn’t much info here. Can you give me a little more to go on?
Thanks
