I ran to Target today and found some great clearance deals! Remember clearance varies dramatically so you may not find the same deals or prices at your store. The entire sporting goods department was marked down 75% percent at my store.
Spiderman Trike $11.24 (on clearance in sporting goods section)
Dora the Explorer Scooter $6.24 (on clearance in sporting good section)
Gerber Blanket Sleeper 2pk $2.48- (on clearance in baby section) used $1 coupon (so .75 per pj!)
Tinkerbell Stamp Book $2.48- (on clearance in sporting goods for some reason) This is our new bribe for potty training
Johnson’s Baby Cream Oil $3.49- used $1 coupon plus $2 coupon from Target home mailer*= .49
*I got another Target home mailer this week- it is pictured above and has baby coupons inside! As I have told you before these are sent out randomly and I have no idea how they select who gets them. If you call Target they will not send you one nor will they tell you how to get it. You just have to hope they show up in your mailbox!
So the bike and the scooter will get put away in the gift closet. This is how I spend very little at Christmas because I shop year round for gifts. Both of these items will be gifts for my toddler’s birthday in August- so she will get 2 nice presents and we only spent $17 total for them.

Great finds!! I was at Target today and tried the Huggies/Pampers deal… I was able to mix and match the two brands and still get the $5 gift card… since I had a Target coupon & a manufacturer coupon for two Huggies and one Pampers… it worked! The register automatically prompted the cashier as soon as the third pack rang up! Just a heads up in case you don’t have enough of one brand!
I figured $17.47 out of pocket, $5 back, $12.47 or $4.15 per pack… pretty good!

Which Target is this in Sacramento?

Dallas we are not there. Not even close. But Addy gets stamps after gymnastics and she loves them. So I have had my eye on that darn book and it was finally 75% off. It has Tinkerbell stamps so she gets a stamp for a pee pee. Better than candy I guess! BTW I will see you in 2 months! We are dropping Addy off this time for you to babysit. They won’t mind right- she blends in? 🙂

No Roseville. It is almost totally picked over now though. A few more Dora and that is it. Then just baseball bats and things.

I get so excited about toys for my daughter that I just can’t wait that long to give it to her! You’ve got some self control! 🙂

I only got one Target home mailer, the baby items like in this post…that’s it. I heard others got something different last week.

I am so glad I am not the only one having a hard time potty training. I love the stamp idea though. Also, I would love to have Addy over! Her and my Gwen can have a playdate!

Not so much self control as bad memory. I hide them in the top shelves of the closet and I usually forget what I have up there. That helps! I just cross events off my list and then I know I already bought something for that person and not to worry.

I love Target Clearance!! They always have the best prices! At my Target they had a ton of the Parents Brand on clearance, I think they changed the style and colors of the toys to a more earth tone colors. I picked up one of those My First Remote Control Cars for my little guy for only $3 and a Sonic Leapster game for $3.97 (I also used a $5 off coupon for this game and they honored it, took a full $5 off!) last week!

I think this is how they select who gets the baby coupon booklets: make your baby registry there. And even if you don’t have a baby shower coming up but you do have small children, make a registry anyways ofdiapers and clothes and wipes (stuff you buy regularly anyway) and then say it is “off a registry” when you buy it. When you have an “active” registry, you’re considered a “baby” customer and they’ll send you several coupon booklets throughout the year! My daughter is 14 mons old and they still send me baby coupons.

Wow great trip . I love the price of those sleepers , I have a couple of baby showers this year so those would be great .

That is part of the speculation but no one knows for sure. I got these before I had children and they came again after I made a registry so who knows.

Went to the Target in Roseville on Douglas today- trip was a total bust. I didn’t look for toys, but every single thing on my list was out of stock! Great trip at CVS for $1.92 though – lots of items on clearance. 🙂

cjs Just in case you don’t know you can get rainchecks at Target to get the sale priced items if they are out.

Any idea how much the dora scooter weighs? Have been looking for a scooter for a long time. Maybe I can pay you to pick up another one and ship to me in CA. Let me know. Thanks!
