Target $1 Spot Clearance!

01/01/2010

007

If you are planning a trip to Target make sure to check out the $1 spot area!  My store had items 75% off and I went a little crazy!  These are just a few of the items I found- I got several little books for just .25 (the large one pictured was .62), the Rayovac batteries were marked down to .25, as well as little cars, 16 month calendars and a ton of hair accessories for girls.

The signs at my store weren’t very clear so I actually scanned everything to double check.  I bought the little books for the girl’s Easter baskets as well as little hair accessories and cars.  These are also good to have on hand for goody bags for any birthday parties throughout the year.

Target clearance varies considerably from store to store so you may not find the same sale that I did.

Aww man my store didn’t have the books, that would’ve been fun. I did find the batteries though yesterday and also scanned them to double check- I couldn’t believe it!! I got like 5 packs. :]

Be careful with those red Rayovac batteries. They are some kind of Zinc batteries, not alkaline. I just worked on my sons RC car forever trying to figure out what was wrong with it and it was the batteries. They were brand new, but not strong enough to operate the car. I don’t know what you can use them for, but not RC cars!!

Thanks Christy, I was thinking the same thing but we are going to try them on some of our mountains of toys. They were out of the blue ones already.

The dollar spot at ours was already really picked over when I went there this afternoon. I did though score a really nice tree stand for $5 and a Dora the Explorer mini see n say for $1 for next year’s stocking, as well as some cute penguin plastic dinner plates for .39 which I will be using as gifts for the neighbors with cookies on them for next year.

Christy, I was glad to read your post. I bought about 20 packs of the batteries a couple of weeks ago when they were $1 and I had $1 off coupons. I couldn’t get 2 items to work and figured out the batteries just were not strong enough!

My Target had all black dot items 75% off. Just look for the colored dot by the UPC symbol.

I went today and scored tons of goodies for 25 cents each. Our family fills shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child as part of our holiday tradition. I was able to get some really cute children’s socks, Slinky’s, Hello Kitty playing cards, wooden cars and planes, coloring books, hair accessories, etc. for next year’s boxes. In the Christmas section I also found some small Disney puzzles that rang up for 37 cents each. With all the bargains I picked up today I’ve decided to double my goal to 20 boxes filled this year!

Thank you for posting this. I love getting the 75% off the Dollar Spot and they rarely have signs posted in my store. I only know if I see it posted online. NO other coupon board/blog mentioned this. Thank you! I buy lots of items for Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts (for next year). Great savings.
