I went to CVS a few days ago and spent $3.14- I got $6 in ECBs back and will have a $15 rebate coming

(2) Olay $6.99 & 8.99* used (2) $3 coupons and will submit for a $15 rebate
Colgate $2.99- used $1 coupon and got $2 ECBs
Fusion Razor $8.99- used $4 coupon and got $4 ECB back
(2) Playskool wipes on clearance for .82 each

Also used $12.49 in ECB and a $5/20 coupon.

Target: 0

Wonka Gummies $1.59 each- used (2) $1 coupons
4 Morningstar Items $2.84- used (4) $2 coupons and (1) $2/2 Target coupon

My total should have been $2.54 but I used a gift card from a prior purchase- so free!

*My goal with coupons is not just to get things free or very cheap but also to simply get higher quality products we normally wouldn’t spend money on. So I could have purchased (2) $6.99 products and made a little extra off this rebate but I chose to get a better product that I wanted to try.

The more you coupon, the more you get a hang of it. Instead of just using a coupon to use it, you start shopping savvy. Today, I got 12 cans of Tuna from CVS for $0.00 oop ($3 in ECBs and $3 from a gift card:)

I just got hooked on your site a couple of weeks ago. I am new to couponing, but have made it my New Years resolution to become great at it. You inspire me to spend well and save well! Thanks for all the tips!

Thanks for the rebate reminder for the Olay!!! I almost forgot about it!

Would you mind listing a few of the major expiring coupons if you can think of them off the top of your head,… or if you go tonight and get some great deals with them will you post your buys?!?! Thanks!

I do not believe that the Olay products you bought qualify for the rebate. They have to be Regenerist products, which are pricey and it does not appear that is what you bought. You need to look careefully and comply completely.

Thank you for the reminder Carol. They are Regenerist products I am very certain of it. I posted several ideas for this rebate using the less expensive items from the line- the cleansers start at $5.99 at some stores. The rebate form says “purchase two facial moisturizers, treatments or cleansers” and that is exactly what I bought.

You can see some of the Regenerist items CVS carries right here- the prices start at $7.99:

Hi- I just got back from my CVS and a bunch of make-up is 75% off. I printed out some coupons for L’OREAL, along with a Rimmel coupon I already had. The Rimmel blush was a .13 cent money maker. I also got a powder compact and a lip gloss for under a dollar each. Just a heads up! Love your blog! Thanks for all your great tips and deal ideas!
