It looks like Safeway is rolling out a new program and I hope it is nationwide soon!! For right now if you shop at the Madison Ave location in Fair Oaks or Jarvis in Newark CA you can head over HERE and register for several awesome coupons. They will email these to you in about 24 hours.
These coupons are only supposed to be used at the two locations specified as a trial for this new program- so I hope some of you can use them!!

Thanks Charlene. Do you know if you can access these coupons if you are already registered and your home is located to a closer store that the Fair Oaks location. I pass by the Madison store weekly so I’d love to get the Qs if they are available. Let me know. I peeked around the site but I couldn’t find them. Thanks so much!
Caitlin, I believe these are being accepted at some stores but they aren’t supposed to be. It is only supposed to be at those two locations. I know you can get the coupons regardless of where you live but I am thinking a lot of people will have the coupons rejected if they are using them at other locations. Does that make sense? So even if they work it doesn’t mean you should use them you know? I think Sfwy might reconsider the program if they have problems with the soft roll out. I wish I was wrong but it does say the two stores exclusively at the bottom where you sign up. I called as well and they said they are only for those two locations. Bummer because I am not driving to FO just for eggs- although I did think about it! 🙂
I just used the free pasta coupon at my Portland, OR area store tonight. They had to manually punch it in, but I think that’s just because they had to enter the amount of the free coupon.

Hi everyone, The issue isn’t whether you can use them I am sure you probably can. The issue is that the program is only supposed to be used at 2 stores that were specifically mentioned. So I can not promote anything on this blog that is unethical. I don’t think it is coupon fraud but I do think it is wrong to use coupons for things they aren’t intended for regardless of whether or not they work. I hope that makes sense and I wish it was different. There are plenty of great deals to go around using coupons correctly.
