Did you use your $5 off Hallmark coupon yet? Well I have used 4 of them so far and I thought I’d pass along some ideas for products you can get for very little with these coupons!

I found my Hallmark to be a fairly spendy store so it wasn’t easy to find $5 items but here is what I got:

Coupon 1: Gourmet Chocolate Bar $2 and Peppermint Bark $3

Coupon 2: (2) Birthday Cards .82 after coupon

Coupon 3: Gift bag $3.99 Gourmet Chocolate Pretzel $1.50

Coupon 4: 3pk of Gift Bags $3.99 + Snowflake ornament $1.49

Also, other ideas I heard from some of you- Wrapping Paper is $4.99 and when you buy 1, Get and 2nd for .99. nice pens to write all those Christmas Cards for $6.99, Discounted CDs (these were $4.99 at my store!)

So you can still print your $5 off coupon HERE just be prepared to really do some looking to find a great deal!

Purchased 6 99-cent birthday cards. Cost was $1.01 total. Also purchased the $4.99 and 99-cent wrapping paper. Cost was $1.06 total for that. Didn’t think the prices were too bad on these with the coupon.

My Hallmark had the new spring Yankee candles in the small jar for $4.95 with any purchase. I added a .99 cent card and paid $1.30 total. Candles are regularly $9.99.

I bought my niece to be some of the cutest socks I’ve ever seen. They were crazy expensive at $5.19 a pair, but they look like little shoes and only cost .20 after coupon ;)

i got ornaments for .30 a piece after tax. I needed 2 ornaments for our family gift exchange. I also bought my kids ornaments for this yr so I paid the difference after $5 coupons. I am going to try to get the wrapping paper :)

There is a hardcover book up front on display at most Hallmark stores (Snow Glad We’re Friends). Regularly $7.99, but you can get it for $2.99 when you buy 3 cards. I bought three 99 cent cards and the book and only spent a dollar and some change OOP.

They had really cute beaded Christmas bracelets at the counter-I think they were $2.88 each. I bought one for my daughter and one for myself!

I was able to score 75% off of Thanksgiving themed items with 2 coupons I got 2 pumpkin candles, 1 reed difuser and an apple baking mix for OOP $4! Retail would have been over $50!!

I bought some peppermint hot chocolate that’s by the registers, paid $1.37 after coupon, also got these really cute plush reindeer (girl and boy) ornaments for $1.37 each. Those are hanging on the Christmas trees throughout the store. I plan on putting those in my kids stockings! And I also purchased 2 bags of chocolates also located by the registers for $1.37 each after coupon :)

The site says you can only print the coupon once. Will they accept the coupon again if you print 2?

I bought some home fragrance oil on clearance for $2 each. The line is all natural and gives off a beautiful scent.

I went today and got a Reba CD for $3.95 (christmas gift), a big candy cane for $.75 (stocking stuffer for DS), and some little christmas stickers ($.30 each).

Went to a different store the other day and got 3 of the $.99 cards, the cute snowman book for $2.95, and a Barry Manilow christmas CD for $1.

Heather December 10, 2009 at 9:21 PM

i was able to score a snowman ornament with my sons name on it for FREE and just through in a 99 cent card! heck yay :)

i’ve used 2 coupons so far. with the first one i got a 12-pack of thank you cards that were exactly $5, so i just paid about 30 cents; with the second i got 4 christmas gift bags (2 small ones priced at .99 each and 2 bigger ones for 1.49 each), and paid about 20 cents.

I bought Christmas card money holders with my first coupon. I let my 7yo son have the second coupon. He picked out a red, light-up reindeer nose for $4.99 and some jelly bellies. Talk about a happy kid!

I used 3 of the coupons and each transaction came to about $1.50 after tax and all. I bought 6 packs of 99 cent stickers in on transaction. 1 pack of 1.99 stickers, 3 packs of 99 cent stickers and a personalized pen also 99 cents in another. And a $2.49 card, .49 candy and a note paper set that was 2.99 in the last. My hubbys grandmother loves to send cards and decorate the envelopes with stickers so she was the recipient of all the goodies. She was so happy she cried when she got her care package.

My store would not let me use printed coupons on sale items, only the magazine ones.

Lisa December 11, 2009 at 11:16 AM

They have necklaces for 9.99 that say things like harmony, karma, etc. My daughter wanted one, so after coupon only 4.99…great stocking stuffer. They also had these fake eel skin looking purses reg 29.99, marked down to 19.99 and then used 5.00 coupon..so 14.99 for a gift for my mom!

As I’ve moved recently my printer is still MIA in the garage so I’ve been unable to print out any coupons :(

However, one thing I wanted to mention was the Hallmark Crown Rewards program. I’ve been a memeber for a couple years now, and they will occasionaly send out fliers with coupons in them. It’s free, plus you get points for your purchases. You get bonus points for buying cards, and an extra 100 bonus points when you buy 3 cards at one time. Just a thought, especially for those buying the 99c cards, as a way to be “earning” at the same time :)

I used my $5 coupon yesterday and my Hallmark had about 5 different Yankee Candles for $10. These are the big jar candles. So I got mine for $5….that is an awesome deal! Everyone might want to check their Hallmark to see if they have the same deal…..

Melissa, This time around I was amazed at how many items they had! They had cute little notebooks too- there were quite a few things I wanted! I hope they issue these coupons again.
