Walgreens will not accept 2.50 J/F coupons as the 3/Walgreens coupon is ringing up as manufacturer coupon too. Az Walgreens have J/Freida products priced at 6.99….. Did the Kleenex deal and bought 4 boxes at .04 each.
Are you sure? They are listed online as $5.99 and I called a store to double check and they were $5.99 according to what I was told.
John Frieda is $6.99 at my store in Tulsa, OK. Still a good deal.

I also went to Walgreens today to try to get the John Freida deal and was told that the $3/1 is a MANUFACTURER coupon that is only good at Walgreens and NOT a Walgreens coupon. That isa crock since it is in their ad. I have placed a call to corporate and they are getting back to me. That is very irritating.
Yes Charlene, just checked another store an hour ago, same thing….And they will accept only one of the coupons, either the walgreens one, OR the printable 2.50 one. The walgreens coupon is ringing up as manufacturer coupon too, saw it myself, and they won’t stack them. Needless to say, I cancelled transaction…..sigh!!
I did this today in Auburn, CA and John Freida was 6.99, but the Luxurious Volume hairspray was clearanced for $3.59, and they accepted both coupons so I had $1.91 in overage toward my other purchases-Yeah!
hello again Charlene, just checked the new walgreens printable coupons you indicated in email. If you read the fine print you’ll notice they do mention that thay are manufacturer coupons. I clicked around some more to compare them to other walgreen store coupons, as well as checked the Healthy Savings booklet, those coupons do not say manu coup. I think someone at walgreens wised up after last week’s J/Frida deal and made changes in their computer systems….oh that’s aggravating!! I’m going to give it one more try at another store and see if feigned indignation works lol!! will let you know….
I was at 2 diffrent Walgreen’s today (McKinney, TX) At the 1st store it was $6.99 and they did not have the Walgreen’s $3 coupon. At the 2nd it was $6.49, they did have the store coupon at the register. But here is the little tid bit I overheard, They have to ring up the manufacturer BEFORE the store coupon or it will not work. (They were training a new cashier) Oh, my store had bonus packs that had a travel size with the full size. BONUS! 🙂
This deal did not work at my riteaid in So Cal. I used the coupons exactly and after all my coupons my total was $16 not $6!!!!
Went to my rite aid in northern ohio, it’s priced 6.99 which was kind of a bummer to pay 13 but that’s still only 2 bucks a product which is almost cheaper then regular price of most shampoos and conditioners!
Ok so the ad says Buy One Get One 50% off. Was it just the luxurious volume that wasn’t part of the deal? Also make sure to enter your receipts online for the Gift of Savings! Last time the pre coupon amount counted so you may have a gift card coming!
My total ended up at about 16 as well. I got the 5/25 rite aid coupon, but be careful, I had given her that one first and really they shouldn’t have given that one off too she said because after the other coupons my order didn’t total $25. I did get all the coupons off their though, but the total was still high, I will try to rewards later on when I get home from work, hopefully it works!!
Hi Kristine, No the pre coupon total has to be $25 so you are OK with the coupon.
You know I don’t think you were charged correctly. The ad says they are BOGO50% on page 11. So that is 3 at $5.99 and 3 at $2.99. It sounds like you were charged for 6 at $5.99. When I went to buy the Olay last night it did not ring up at the sale price either and I had to get a price adjustment.
The products here in New Jersey are 6.99 not 5.99, so automatically that adds 4.50 to the total…if I can find my receipt and take off the extra 5, I will be at around 11, which is about right.
Hmm..still seems a little off, even at the price I got it at, still a good deal…I forgot I got milk as well, so the total is about right if you add the 4.50 additional cost for the product….
