Reader Mandi emailed in a great deal she found at Target. This week the Game of Things is priced at $14.99 at Toys R Us. If you have the ad and take it to Target for a price match (it is priced at $25 at Target) and use the $5 off coupon HERE you get it for $9.99. Target has a free Hasbro card game this week with purchase of a board game over $10. So this should work to get the card game and board game for $9.99!
If you don’t need the card game you can get this at Toys R Us for $9.99 with the coupon above. Also, while you are at Toys R Us you might check if they accept competitor coupons! Reader Chi Chi just used a Target coupon to score a great deal on the Leapfrog Violet. My store does not accept competitor coupons but it doesn’t hurt to ask!

Take your kids to wendy’s and get a kids’ meal. On the outside of the meal bag there is a $5 coupon off a leapfrog Tag reading system or book. It’s a big savings when you use it when there is a sale on tag books.

I tried this today at Target, but they wouldn’t let me do it. When the do a price adjustment at Customer Service, they essentially return the item then sell it to you again at the matched price. Purchase price was $25, minus the coupon, plus the free card game. They were returning the game for $20, and only going to give me $5 credit to get it to the TRU price of $15.
They said I could either price match TRU and get the Game of Things for $15 (without the free card game), or do the Target deal and get the free card game with board game purchase. I said no thanks and returned both. Didn’t want them that bad.
Do we know if Target coupon policy covers deals like this?

Nicole, I am not sure how you found this post but it is from December 2009.
