Toys R Us: Hasbro Games Deal

11/07/2009

chutes and ladders

Starting tommorrow Toys R Us is having a sale on Hasbro Board Games- Spend $25 and get a $10 Gift Card back.

The following titles are included in the sale:

All titles $3.99
Hasbro
Candy Land
Chutes/ladders
Ants in Pants
Dont Break The Ice
Memory

All Titles $7.99
Clue
Boggle Jr
Rubiks
Scrabble Jr
Yahtzee
Monopoly Jr or Deal

All Titles $9.99
Mouse Trap
Scrabble
Perfection
Connect 4
Boggle
Perfection

From 11/1 to 1/31 you can get an additional rebate from Hasbro on a number of  games- but only when purchased from Toys R Us.  There is a limit of 1 rebate per game but you can get up to $69 back in total!  Get the form right HERE.

Now this can make for a really great deal as several of the $3.99 games have $2 rebates.  So you can buy just one and pay $1.99 after rebate!  OR there are a few great scenarios to get a lot of gifts out of the way:

Buy 1 Scrabble or Connect 4 at $9.99
Buy (4) of the $3.99 games- choose four of these five games (remember to get 4 different ones!)
Candy Land, Chutes/Ladders, Ants in Pants, Don’t Break the Ice, or Memory
Subtotal: $25.95
Get $3 rebate for Connect 4 or Scrabble
Get $2 rebate for each of the four games you picked
Get $10 Gift card back from Toys R Us
For a net total of $4.95.
Now this would be a great way to donate a lot of items to toy drives!!

There are coupons HERE that would be worth printing BUT I don’t think these games will be included in the sale. You might grab them just in case. This sale will run 11/8-11/14 in stores only.

Thanks SD!

won’t it be 9.95 total at the end?

I think the math is right: $9.99 + 3.99 + 3.99 + 3.99 + 3.99 is $25.95. Get $3 + $2 + $2 + $2 + $2 in rebates= $14.95 and get a $10 gift card = $4.95.

Does the Hasbro Connect 4 coupon ($5 off) not work with this?

The only coupon I am aware of is the Connect 4×4 which is typically priced higher than the regular Connect 4. It looks like the regular Connect 4 is what is included in the sale. Do you have a Connect 4 coupon?

No- I think you’re right. It’s the 4×4 coupon- didn’t catch that!

I took advantage of this sale this morning. There was a huge line but everyone was there for the Zhu Zhu pets. My husband and I got tickets (they were handing them out before opening to everyone in line) for the Zhu Zhu. We gave ours to some very grateful people who had children dying for them. We purchased five $3.99 games, one $9.99 games and one $14.99 game that I had a $5 coupon for. We got the $10 gift card for buying Hasbro and the clerk was nice and gave us the $10 gift card for buying $75 worth (even though we didn’t reach $75). I guess that’s the good karma for giving away our Zhu Zhu pet tickets to desperate parents. All in all: $45 OOP, $20 Gift card plus $10 rebate on its way. 7 games for $15!
