So the grocery ads are a little weird this week. We won’t have an ad breaking tomorrow at Safeway or Raleys. Last week’s ad runs through the 26th.

But I did want to let you know about one promotion at Safeway. On Friday and Saturday if you spend $200 in gift cards, you get $20 off your next grocery purchase of $50 or more. Now Safeway has just about every gift card imaginable so if you intend to make any large purchases this year this might be a good deal.
I think Safeway has Target gift cards. If they do, don’t forget you get an extra $10 Target gift card for spending $100 before noon on Friday. So buy the gift card for yourself and you can use them on Black Friday or on Cyber Monday!
It looks like you get $10 off your purchase of $50 or more with a $150 gift card purchase from November 29-December 8.
You can get the info HERE and it says to check your store for more information. My store had signs up advertising the promotion. I am considering buying $200 in Safeway gift cards which I can use in Jan and Feb for my regular grocery trips. I am not certain those will work but it is worth a shot!

Just a heads up, I received a cat advertising this last night @ Safeway & the exclusions are: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Safeway gift cards, Telecom cards and Ticket cards. Also states that the reward coupon is good for 7 days after issuance.

I know!! I’m still going to use it though, my siblings & I are getting 1 large gift card for my parents for Christmas, so I “offered” to pick it up, that way I can get the $20 free grocery money.
Going to go in with my mom for gift cards for other family members & take advantage of the $10 off as well. Still spending what I was going to on gift cards, but by going in with other people, I am getting $30 in free grocery money!! I’ll gladly take that
When you buy $200 gift card and get $20 off your next transaction with purchase of $50, is that before the manufacturer coupons or after the manufacturer coupons. Do you have to buy $50 after all the coupons, or it’s the $50 subtotal before taxes and coupons?
