Have you used these gift certificates before? I thought about giving a large amount to a friend as a Christmas gift for a much needed night out but don’t want to cause a headache for her. Just thought I’d get your thoughts. Thanks!

Umm.. I would double check as I think you can only use 1 per visit. I think it says in the fine print. Great idea though!

Do not use these cupons there misleading. You have to purchase food requirements of $35 dollars (per certificate) or more and pay 18% gratuidy as well. So by the time you finish and pay for a meal you are not getting anything for free. You still pay 25 dollars plus the graduity.

Jamie the $35 minimum is standard- so you will spend $10. I think the gratuity is according to the restaurant- although you would probably tip that much regardless. There are a lot of people that enjoy these certificates- if anyone has other experiences please let us know! I don’t think this is going to make a free meal but it should be a heavily discounted meal.

Thanks! I found the fine print and don’t think it would be a great deal for my friend but maybe for someone else on my list! Great deal for a nice meal if you are already planning on going out anyway. Thanks for your blog!! you are awesome!

I used one this weekend. We saved $10. We tip at least 20% anyway (I used to be a waitress). So, the gratuity thing didn’t bother me. I feel weird about giving them as a gift because the person does usually have to spend a minimum amount in order to get their discount. For a place we were planning to visit anyway – it was a steal of a deal!
