Walgreens vlog

As I mentioned earlier this week I went ahead and did a quick vlog on my Walgreens trip from Sunday. I am not sure why this is so fuzzy. Sometimes explaining the Register Reward system at Wags can feel like walking someone through landing a plane or preforming brain surgery. It really is pretty simple once you get the basics of their system down- it took me about 20 minutes to go through the deals, figure out my plan and organize the coupons. Not bad. If you don’t want to bother with the Register Reward program, I would still encourage you to pop into Wags from time to time. I have found the most amazing clearance items there! So pay attention as they tend to hide awesome clearance items in every corner of the store- look for bright orange tags!

Great explanation. However, my Walgreens won't let me do more than one transaction at a time and they usually only have 1 cashier…just a heads up for others who may have the same situation.

I do. Depending on the day. I just made it red to try and avoid those hefty salon bills and it looks awful. So blonde will be coming back soon ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the vlog, Charlene! ๐Ÿ™‚ Wow, when I first started reading deal blogs I did not want to be bothered with all the drugstore rebates and register rewards. Then I decided to try Walgreens because there were SO many things that were free after register reward! Um, a month later I've been in there at least twice a week and have brought home $487 worth of medicine, groceries, household items, toiletries, etc. etc. for a total out of pocket of $77! That's over $400 for FREE! Looking at my total (I just now added it up) I thought, yikes, I didn't know I spent that much! BUT, I have brought home bags and bags of stuff that we need or that I was able to give to others. This is not a useless stockpile of cheap stuff! I got some really great deals on clearance items (like a George Forman grill for $6 and a 2 pc. duffel luggage set for $7.50) and I've already given away lotion, razors, chapstick, food, etc!!! I am loving Walgreens!

    This is a great video!

However, I personally disagree about spending all of your RRs….and leaving with none. The reason I say this is because they you ALWAYS have to pay SOMETHING out of pocket. The best way to get the most for your money is to roll them from week to week.

However, that is just my opinion, and I do understand why you do it (because you don't shop there much!). Thanks!

Thank you so much for this explanation! I've been avoiding Walgreens because it seems like such a hassle to roll the RR from week to week and keep track of them. I totally didn't think about using all the RR in one day with multiple transactions! That completely makes sense and will probably increase the chance that I'll now go there.

Love the vlogs, as usual great information, I do have one question do the Walgreens coupons count like a coupon & RR for instance take the olives I had a MQ & the Walgreens is this two?

    Thanks!

All of the Walgreens around me have started limiting the use of Register Rewards to 1 per transaction. Anyone else having this problem?

I just love reading your blog and atching your vlogs! I've always been a big coupon user (my Mom was also). It is nice to know that there are other people out there that are just as frugal!! Thank you!

My Walgreens won't let me have more than 1 transaction per day! So I tried the deals at CVS and I was surprised…I must live in a different part of the country (So-CAL) as none of the good deals were there. Am I missing something? I only find Riteaid to have the best deals as the rebate is soooo easy!!!

Your camera lens is dirty! That’s why it looks fuzzy. I had the same problem for a sadly long while before I figured it out. ๐Ÿ™‚

Emily I figured that out. We have “grabby little hands” issues in this house- as one reader put it- and there were fingerprints on the lens ๐Ÿ™‚
