I love this trip but I'm trying to figure out how it came down to just tax – did it include a gift card or some other coupons?

She got overage from most of those coupons and she said the cashier might have scanned one twice. So it should have been a tiny bit more oop.

My Target used to do overages without a problem. Now if the coupon beeps they say they cannot accept it or if you can prove it is the right item then they price correct the coupon which is wrong since they will get reimbursed for the total coupon amount. Has anyone else had this problem?

That is my Target purchase above. With my store, it really depends on the cashier you get. I got lucky and the young guy that checked me out paid no attention and just put everything threw. That meant a lot of overage and scanning a coupon twice. By the time he finished, my subtotal was $0 and I was just paying tax. WOW! I bout did a dance in the parking lot. ๐Ÿ™‚ I've learned to pick and choose the cashier I go to now, but before they would usually adjust down the coupon and I had to fight to use a lot of them. What a pain! I'll take the young guys!!!!!

Am I the only one who feels uncomfortable with the fact that the cashier scanned one coupon twice and then this shopper celebrated??? No wonder Target is unhappy with couponers… The ethical thing to do would be at least to call the store and admit the error…honesty is the best policy!!

Went to Target last night…got 4 Ponds, Arbor Mist wine (small bottle), Danimals yogurt, 8 small bags Chex Mix, Wanchai Ferry frozen dinner, 4 cans of Chef Michaels dog food, 2 bags of Wonka gummy candy, 2 travel size Hungry Hippos games…all for ONLY $5.79!!! I saved $48.85! WOW! I did get overage from the Ponds, Wonka, and Chex Mix coupons though…

I usually pick and choose my cashiers as well but the problem they said was the fact that many of their cashiers were scanning coupons for things the customer hadn't purchased. They said the company had also changed their systems on Sept. 22nd and now it beeped and when they accept a coupon that beeps it places a "N" on the computer screen next to the coupon. The cashier seemed worried that she'd get into trouble if she accepted them. I don't know if it was that particular Target or what. I did see on one of the blogs that I usually visit that a part time Target employee was told this weekend to accept all coupons because they'd rather have people in buying with coupons than not at all. Of course, her store was in California but she mentioned this was a national thing. Maybe it will be different. I'm heading back to Target tonight. I'll try just one item with an overage and see what happens.

I'm with "Anonymous" I am uncomfortable with the fact that the coupons weren't being used properly and we probably shouldn't encourage that. I know if Target overcharged me for something I would expect them to fix it, just as they deserve the same respect if they undercharge me for something. Sorry, had to add my two cents.
