Ok I read about this last night and I raced to my Target this morning to check it out. I found a Graco Comfort Sport Car Seat in Midas on clearance for $12.50! Now this isn’t the nicest car seat ever but this is perfect for my sister who takes our little one from time to time. This is a clearance hunt and your luck will vary by store– I hate sending people out on wild goose chases but this deal is too good to not pass on. These have been found in a number of stores around the country- some found them on clearance end caps. I found mine just sitting in the regular car seat aisle. They were not marked as clearance and this was located under a Britax car seat. These were on sale a few weeks ago for $50. Look for Midas or Ryder styles.
So if you can use a car seat you might go on a hunt at your store! I would look all around the clearance areas and in the regular aisle. If you spot these make sure to drag the box over to scan them as they might not be priced correctly. Also- as I said mine was tucked behind a Britax. The DPCI on the item is: 030090424- you can try calling your store but really this is something you might want to go and check out in person. You might ask about possible inventory in the backroom as well because my understanding is that their inventory system doesn’t always show clearance. (And for those of you that will ask- this DPCI # did not work in the inventory locator for me).
Also, one other quick Target note- I always take the time to scan things that are not regular Target items. For example, my store does not carry Aden and Anais swaddle blankets. I spotted these marked at $20.99 on a clearance shelf and sure enough they scanned at $7.48! I have found that online returns are often marked down 75%-90% quickly- so it is worth the extra second to check it out! Good luck!
