EDITED: I checked and the gift card is available! There was a big display in my store featuring the gift card and they had a pre-order form. You put down a $5 deposit and when I go back later this week I will pay $9.99 after coupon and get a $5 gift card back! Plus I am going to try and do the Hefty rebate which makes the DVD almost free! (Warning: This was a big card board display in the front of the store. I actually had to walk the store manager over because no one knew they were running the promotion).

I just called my Toys R Us and they said they are NOT doing the $5 gift card for pre-ordering the Snow White DVD. I'm in PA, so I would really call your Toys R Us before making a trip out! They did however say that the free baking set was going on all week!
My TRU store (in VA) didn't have a clue about the gift card. There was no sign or anything advertising it either. Maybe it's a regional thing?
Anon, I don't think so. It was reported in several areas all around the country. There was a big cardboard display in the front of the store advertising it. The cashiers, customer service and the manager had no idea what I was talking about. I walked the manager over to the display and she went into the back and dug out the preorder form. Crazy! The display was in a section featuring all that princess stuff for the free bakeware.
In our Toys R US ad it also says that if you pre-order UP on DVD that you save $5.00 on ANY other Disney DVD or Blu Ray 14.99 or more – this would include then the SnowWhite movie 🙂
Why is this "today only"? I was hoping to pre-order on Monday.
The closest Toy R Us to me is 2 hours away. So I was thinking about going to K-mart. They are giving away a free Disney Princess Doll when you buy the Snow White dvd. After the $10 coupon the price is $17.99 plus the free doll. I think K-mart will be my best bet. I don't think Target is doing anything special and Wal-marts price is $14.86 with the coupon without a doll. Does anyone have any suggustions since I don't have a Toy R Us around me?
