So I saw the rebate items at Office Max last week and again in Sunday’s paper. I ignored this particular deal because I prefer the Staples rebates- which are actual checks you can cash. Plus I like spending $2-3 not $50 out of pocket but I thought Crystal laid this out really well. This might be a good deal for many of you that seriously want to stock up on paper. There is an in store version of this deal or an online version of this deal listed below.
Rebate items this week:
- 5 ream case of paper $16.99 (limit 3)
- Manila Folders 100 ct $6.99 (limit 3)
- Bankers Boxes 10 ct $9.99 (limit 3)
- Sharpie 2pk of pens $1.99 (limit 3)
These are all “free after rebate”- but you don’t get a rebate check. The rebate is a credit back at Office Max. So if you buy a case of paper at $16.99 you’ll get $17 back in credit at Office Max.

You need to sign up for the Office Max program HERE (its free) called Max Rewards. Make sure to write down the number as you need it for checkout later.

Office Max offers free shipping on orders of $50 or more.

Now you can go to Office Max.com directly and place your order- make sure to enter your Rewards card number. The obvious order would be 3 reams of paper at $16.99 each= $50.97 + tax. You will get $51 back on your Office Max card (that you just signed up for) in a few weeks as a rebate. The rebate can only be used at Office Max as credit.

If you shop through one of the cash back programs like Ebates HERE (3%) or Mr Rebates HERE (2%) or Cashbaq HERE (2.5%)- you will get the percentage of your purchase refunded in a quarterly rebate check. So in the case of Ebates you will get $1.53 back on this purchase. You also get a $5 bonus when you sign up. So you will spend about $50 total and you will get $50 back in credit at Office Max plus the small rebate from the cash back program.

You can purchase any of the items listed at the top. For example one case of paper at $16.99. Use the Office Max Rewards card number you register for HERE. In a few weeks you will get $17 back when your actual Rewards card comes. The $17 can only be used as credit at Office Max. You might call your store ahead of time as I find these rebate items sell out quickly.
