Yuck- this felt like a ton of money to spend for not very much. The cashier was atrocious this time around and didn’t scan $4 in coupons. I am convinced I save so much more when I shop at Safeway or Raleys. Plus I don’t get treated rudely by the staff. Since I go to Walmart anyway to gather prices, I will probably just pair down my shopping to only a very small number of items next time.
.
Here is the breakdown:

Morningstar Sausage $2.39-used $1/1 printable
Sara Lee Lunch meat $3.98- used (2) $3 printables
Bananas- $1.05
Gummy Bears $.97 (my husband’s favorite)
Sabra Hummus $2.98- used $1.50/1 printable
Old El Paso Taco Seasoning x 4 .74 each- used (2) .60/2 printables
Half and Half .62
Folgers $6.82- used .55/1 coupon
Steamers Veggies $1.17- used .50/1 printable
Dreyers Dibs x 2 (single packs) $1- used $2/2 coupon
Challenge Butter $2.32- used .75/1 HERE
Pull Ups wipes $1.64- used $2/2 coupons
Grands Biscuits $1.16- used $1/1 printable
Ore Ida Fries $1.98- used $1/2 printable
Dulce de Leche $2.08 (was marked $1.48 on the shelf!)

I feel the same way about Wal-mart. We went there today and spent $75, and that was after $25 in coupons used. My hubby wanted Smart Ones, which I had no coupon for, but they are still cheaper at Wal-mart at $1.50, than anywhere else. Ugh. It's almost painfull! I went to Safeway yesterday and spent $28 on $198 of groceries.

Oh, also my checker at Wal-mart today said she has been hearing that they are going to stop taking IP coupons altogether due to fraud. Has anyone else heard this rumor floating around?

I wish I had a Safeway where I live. I hear about all the good deals that people get because of stores that I don't have. But I am still have for all of you guys.

i do krogers and meijers I hate walmart they act as if u are a criminal, sometimes before they even scan the coupon. Oh yeah those wonderful rollbacks always scan higher 9 out of 10 times they should just call them scambacks if meijer which is a super store hardly ever misses prices and they double coupons, walmart take a lesson

I've heard that a lot of people have problems at Walmart, but I've never had an issue using printables. I guess it depends on the area or the store. I hope they don't get rid of printables. I don't have a lot of shopping options in my area, so I still go to Walmart quite a bit.

Wal Mart has a policy that if something rings up wrong you get $3 off that item (and if the item is less than $3 you get it for free) . . . I used to work there and they only do this when the customer asks for it. I rarely shop there because of their poor customer service and problems with things scanning for more than they are listed on the shelf.

I feel I save more at Safeway as well. I think part of it is the doubling of coupons, and taking .51 and higher up to a dollar off, the coupons go so much farther and the deals wind up being better. Walmart is also sneaky. They are low on some things, but higher on others, so in reality, I don't think people save as much as they think they do.

I agree with all you ladies that have had problems at WAL-MART. The service there is terrible! They act is if your stealing if you use coupons. I just rather take my money to Target, Scots, Kroger, Meijer, CVS. I can either stack or double, triple coupons at these places. So who needs Wal-Mart more often times then not with my coupons I beat Wal-marts supposed rollback deals. Plus save gas money driving out there, and then getting abused about coupons!
