I have posted about word of mouth marketing program a few times and here is a recap of the various companies that will actually give you free (full size) products. These programs are completely free and require varying degrees of effort to participate. It is an excellent way to try new products for free- usually full size items along with high value coupons. They offer these great samples in the hopes that you will tell your friends and family members about the products and create a buzz.
.
These are the ones I have personal experience with:
.
BzzAgent: This company is the most time consuming as they like to see a lot of reports about how you spread the word on their products. They offer a variety of items from full size samples to high value coupons that make it worthwhile to participate. I have received several coupons for free entrees at Chilis, a box with a free shower cleaning product, and a kit with new mosquito repellent products from Off. The more active you are on their web site, the more campaigns you get to participate in. Click here to register.
.
Vocalpoint: A division of Proctor and Gamble, this company sends a lot of high value coupons and samples for a variety of products. Simple to participate and they require almost nothing in exchange. I have received samples of cereals as well as coupons for free boxes and a free Bounce dryer bar most recently. Click here to register and pay attention to your mailbox as something fun will likely come along soon!
.
SheSpeaks: I haven’t had a lot of freebies from SheSpeaks but recently got a free subscription to Ladies Home Journal. I also got Emergenz C samples for kids a few months ago as well as a full size Bliss Moisturizer valued at $30+. This program doesn’t seem to send a lot of offers but they require almost nothing in return! (I answered two questions after I received the Bliss product) Click here to register.

House Party: I have been selected for a few parties. This requires a somewhat lengthy application but if chosen you get a great package! House Party requires that you agree to host a party that features whatever the theme of the event is. For example, I got selected for a Gerber party and received about 34 two-packs of Gerber Organic baby food. I had a few friends over with babies and we got several coupons for Gerber foods and clothes in addition to the food. There was a great Fisher Price party awhile ago where they provided several expensive Fisher Price toys! Click here to register. You will need to regularly check in and indicate what themes you are interested in. They will then contact you to fill out the application for the party. The downside is that you don’t know exactly what is in the packages until you are accepted. You also need to participate in the online party planning web site which can also be time intensive.
.
Tryology: This is a new company that provides free samples of new products- most recently a new Vaseline lotion and a full size sample of Gain Laundry Soap. They require that you download a short video of your opinion on the product to their web site in exchange. If you can spare a few minutes and want to try new products before they hit the market you can register here. (UPDATE: I am no longer recommending this one. It is still a credible company but please note any videos you submit can be used anywhere!! I saw a number of videos people submitted for cereal on the manufacturer’s web site- so don’t do a video unless you are prepared to have your face pop up in their marketing campaigns!)
.
Right at Home: This is another simple program from SC Johnson. They send out a monthly email with an offer for a free item for the first 10,000 respondents. They have sent out Glade candles, Ziploc bags and most recently offered Scrubbing Bubbles cleaners. These are very generous packages. They also provide high value, printable coupons in the emails. Register here.
.
.
I recommend using your regular email address for these companies as you don’t want to miss out on a chance to get in on a great offer.

Great tip, but you should mention that these sites do not accept everyone. Vocalpoint just rejected me because I did not meet their profile.

I love Vocal Point! House party is cool too! I am a right at home member, but has anyone actually received one of the gift packs they send out?

I like some of the coupons that Vocal Point sends but sometimes it is hard to use the website. I just read the post for a free product and I clicked on it and it said that it wasn't available for my area 🙁

I agree with Anonymous…I was just rejected by Pssst… for the same reasons :(…but I did make it in to Vocalpoint 🙂 kinda crazy!…but I guess they just want to make sure that they are sending out samples and coupons to those who will benefit them the most!

is the shipping free?
Charlene says
Yes to all the comments you left Noni. Free means free. No catch, nothing at all anywhere to spend on anything.
