Kmart Leapfrog Deal

I ran into my Kmart to look for the clearance Leapfrog books and sure enough- hidden on a clearance rack was an I-Spy book for $4.80! (It was marked at $10- but scanned at $4.80). So keep in mind you will have to hunt as the clearance books are the old titles. I used the coupon HERE and paid just .80!
.
Reader Cali wrote in to say she scored the same deal and got a $5 catalina for any Leapfrog purchase when she bought her book. I got the same one- so you might want to buy the books in seperate transactions to make sure you get a catalina for each book.

She used her catalina and bought this little baby toy for .20! This toy was priced at $9 at my store so I will check back in a week or two to see if they were marked down further.

Thanks so much for sending in your pics Cali- I just love seeing the great deals you guys score!

I went to K-Mart today after seeing your previous post. I used coupons and scored 2 Leapster games and 2 Leapster Tag books for $13.52 (including tax)!! I also got the $5 catalina, but didn't know about it in time to do separate transactions.

    Hi Charlene
after quite a bit of run around I was able to pick up 6 of the tag readers for $2.48 each actually less than that because of some poor customer service I also had $6 off in target coupons. Then off to kmart to find the books. I didn't find a ton but the ones I got with the $4 off coupons and that spit out the catalina. Well I went to another kmart and there were no clearance ones so I combined the catalina and one of the $4 off ones and low and behold another catalina spit out so I would highly recommend doing each one separately in order to keep getting the catalina. thanks you so much that was such an awesome deal. I didn't think to look for other stuff like Cali did but I sure will. My Christmas gift closet is filling up fast and for very little. thanks, Rebecca

Rebecca, I wasn't able to get any tag readers for my kids. Are you willing to sell even one or possible 2 of them to me and at what price. Please email me at [email protected]. Thank you!

Yeah! I am so glad you guys scored! Camommy- have you called Toys R Us? They had them on sale last week for $19.99- or 9.99 after coupon. Maybe they still have them?

Jolene, You might want to grab the books while your store has them- since you can always go back and get a refund for the coupon amount. I would strongly suggest calling customer service and explaining the situation- I called countless times last week and each time had a wonderful rep. I was told when stores make these arbitrary decisions- like deciding not to participate in doubles- that a CSR would speak directly to the store to reinforce corporate policy. They ARE supposed to accept internet coupons so you might have a shot!

Okay, so I went back today and bought two more Tag books, used my $5 catalina coupon and a $4 coupon for Tag books and paid $1.01 out of pocket! AND I got another $5 coupon! Woo-Hoo!!

Charlene, wanted to let you know about another leapfrog deal I found today at Kmart. The Fridge Farm toys were marked down to 9.00, and came down to 7.20 with the additional 20% off clearance toys. Then with the 4.00 off any fridge toy coupon, they came to $3.20 each. This is a really great quality toy, so I was excited to find them. (in Clovis, CA)
