Menu Planning vlog!

09/30/2009

Share

Here is my vlog on menu planning- I hope it helps a little with how I pull things together every week. Remember the key is making sense of all the great deals that you score and to eliminate the need to run to the store multiple times in a week. It does take a little extra time to organize but I have found that the savings at the store every week more than makes up for the extra time I spend.
.
This does take me 30 min- 1 hour every week to do. However, we used to spend $600/month for 2 people and now we spend $160-200 for 4 people. That includes 2 littles in diapers, dog food and basically all household items from cleaning products to stamps. And let me tell you our freezer and pantry are stuffed to the brim! Menu planning is an important step in making sure you stay on budget every week and that you use up all the great items you score for free or for very cheap. It is also so nice to have a plan and to not have to think every night- “What am I going to make for dinner?” I have it all laid out at the start of the week and I am organized and ready to make super fast dinners every night.

There are some new coupons HERE and a reset of some oldies- including the Kellogg’s coupons you can use at Kmart this week! I also reprinted the Challenge butter .75 off coupons- you can find the spreadable butter for $1.99 at Safeway or Walmart.
.
I have found the resets are usually available for a day or so and then they are gone!

CLOSED: Giveaway: Britax Stroller

09/30/2009

Share

Winner was Elin!

I am so excited to have a Britax Umbrella Stroller for one lucky reader. My husband asked me what the big deal is- it is just a stroller. And I had to explain to him that this is no ordinary stroller- it is the Cadillac of strollers! I just know you are going to love this as it is so lightweight and easy to maneuver. If you have ever fought with a stroller in the past, you will love how quickly and easily this one folds up. It takes almost no trunk space and even comes with its own storage bag- perfect for travelling.

Britax combines the best of both worlds- convenience for mom while providing the best safety features for the kids. This stroller features:
.
**A shoulder strap so you can carry it anywhere and have both hands free.
**Three different harness heights to ensure you get a perfect fit.
**You can almost completely recline the back for naps on the go.
**All wheel suspension for a super smooth ride.
**Five point harness to mimimize injury in the case of an accident.
.
And it just looks so darn sleek!
.
This stroller will accommodate babies from 6 months to 55 pounds- so it will definitely earn its keep over the years. You can be sure you are getting top of the line safety features when you buy Britax as well, which is really the bottom line. The umbrella strollers retail for $149.99 and you can purchase them from Amazon right HERE. There are five different styles to choose from.
.
Wanna win one of your own?
.
The generous folks at Britax have offered up one Blink Umbrella Stroller to a lucky My Frugal Adventures reader. The giveaway will run until next Wednesday 10/7 at 8pm PST. You have five chances to win- be sure to include your email address so I can contact the winner!
.

ENTRY #1: Do you already own a Britax item? I’d love to hear which item you own, and if not just head over HERE and tell me which fabric you would choose if you win.
.
ENTRY #2: Follow me on Facebook (or let me know you do!)
.
ENTRY #3: Follow me on Twitter (or let me know you do!)
.
ENTRY #4: Subscribe to my newsletter or my feed (and you must confirm the subscription for this entry to count!)
.

Good Luck!!!
