Well I got my $4 bucks from yesterday’s adventure. Today I paid $4.95 and I will get a $5 coupon for next time thanks to Proctor & Gamble (see details below) AND in the mess of coupons that print at the bottom of your receipt- I got one for $5 off a $5 purchase! Thank you Kmart!
Here is what I did:
Good Start formula $17.99- used $2 peelie from the front of the can= $13.99
(2) Pantene Shampoo $3.33- used $2 coupons from 7/5 P&G= FREE
Pantene Conditioner $3.33- used $2 coupon from 7/5 P&G= FREE
Pantene Frizz Control $5.39- used FREE styler coupon from 7/5 P&G
Pampers Swaddlers $9.99- used $2 coupon from 7/5 P&G= $5.99
(2) Playtex Gloves $1.69- used $1 coupon from 5/3 SS= FREE
(2) Starbucks Double Shot $2- used $1/1 from 6/28 SS= FREE w/ .10 CRV
Total was $53 before coupons
Used $5/50 printable and I had one last $11 Good Start formula check (which I traded for)
Paid $4.95 with tax and CRV
I should have received a $5 coupon for my next purchase for buying $25 in Proctor & Gamble items (the Pantene and Pampers) but the machine did not have any ink. I called Kmart customer service and they are supposed to call back in 24 hours with the outcome.
A few notes- I did not buy extra newspapers which would have been added to my bottom line. I have 2 Sunday subscriptions for $19.99/ year and I get one advance copy of the inserts in my Thursday paper- which is delivered for free to my doorstep.
Also I could have done a complicated scenario to get $10 from Proctor and Gamble for buying $40 in products- or from Kimberly Clark for buying $50 in Huggies– but there is no way I am shelling out $30+ dollars at Kmart. Even if I get a Kmart coupon back for $10 or $14- it isn’t really cash back. You still spent $30-40 and now you have a coupon that you can only spend at Kmart, where grocery prices are typically double that of anywhere else. Plus at my store they won’t allow you to use those coupons during doubling events.
Here is a variation of the P&G scenario I did if you have 2 copies of the 7/5 inserts:
Pampers $9.99- use $2 coupon = $5.99
Pantene Shampoo and conditioner- $6.66- use (2) $2 coupons= FREE
Pantene Styler $5.39- FREE w/ purchase of shampoo & conditioner coupon in 7/5*= FREE
*You need to hit $25 pre coupons so look for the most expensive styling product.
2 cans Pringles $3- use $1/2 from 7/5= $1 for both cans.
You will pay $6.99+ tax and you will get a $5 off your next purchase coupon (valid after 7/15).
i also did not get my P&g coupon even though i bought around $50 in pampers and pantene. called kmart customer service, they said they cannot help and i have to ask the manager in store. ill br trying that tonight.
Hi Shosh- Thanks for reminding me I forgot to respond. I called customer service and the store manager called me right back. She said to stop back by and they'd give me $5 in store credit. I would call customer service again and see if you get a better rep. My catalina did print but it was blank so they were obviously out of ink.
