Can I make a confession? I love my weekend shopping trips! I get to take a break from being a mom, enjoy the sunshine and crank up the radio. All of these stores are practically next door to each other so it makes a pretty fast and easy day. So after getting all the inserts this weekend here is what I wound up with:
Safeway:
Kashi Pizza $4 clearance- used $3/1 MQ
Del Monte Peaches $1.45- used FREE item MQ from Del Monte club
Butter $2.49- used in ad q= .99
Lean Ground Beef $4.10- used $2/1 store q
After my 10% discount the total was $3.03! I used a Bertolli catalina for $2 and paid $1.03.
Walgreens:
Trans #1-
Colgate $3.49- my MQ was expired! Darn head cold.
Paid $3.78 and got a $3.50 catalina.
(For new couponers, I am still mad about this as .28 for toothpaste is too expensive. If it isn’t totally free or a money maker I don’t buy it.)
Trans #2-
Coke Zero- $1.49- used .50/1 from my Valpak mailer last week
Skintimate $2.99
Hershey’s bar- free wyb Coke
Mentos x6 $1- used $1/1 MQ
One a Day Vitamin Drink $1.49- used $1/1 MQ
Also used the prior catalina for $3.50
$1.52 (with .50 sales tax!)
Total spent at Wags was $5.30, I have a $3.00 cat from the skintimate and a rebate of $1.49. So .81 total. Scenerio would have been so much better if I had actually paid attn to the Colgate q.
Walmart
Wheat Thins Artisan Crackers x 4- $2/4= $8- used (2) BOGO MQs and (2) $1/1 tearpad q’s= .50/box
Sani hands wipes- $1.99- used $1/1 MQ= .99
Seakpak Shrimp x2 $1.32 each- used (2) $1/1 MQ= .32 each
Taco Seasoning .42
Toaster Strudel $1.67- used $1/1 IP= .67
Sara Lee Cheesecake Bites $2.98- used $1/1 MQ= $1.98 (Give me a break, I am seriously pregnant)
Coffeemate creamer- $1.68- used $1/1 IP
Total was $7.39
Target
Vitamin Water $1.05 (includes CRV)- used $1/1 MQ= .05
Hershey’s Bliss $2.99- used $1/1 target q and $1/1 MQ= .99
Total $1.04
So grand total for all that was $12.27 after rebate and catalina. Not great but not too bad. The Kashi pizza alone was originally $8.99!
