Safeway- last of the $10/50

Apparently sick baby + no sleep= coupon distaster. I had to hit Safeway up one more time since my $10/50 coupons expire today. I went against my better judgement and listened to a fellow couponer that swore my 10% discount would come off after the $10 coupon. Wrong. It came off before the coupon so my total was only $46. I had to have the cashier add 2 more gallons of milk and an extra box of popscicles to get the total over $50. Had I been thinking clearly I would have added a book of stamps- but you live and learn.

So here is the breakdown:

(2) Popscicles clearanced for $1.50 (it is already 70 here and I have a toddler with a sore throat)

C&H Sugar $1.89 (my coupons are for .75/2 and I don’t need 2)

Life Cereal- used .99 in ad q and $1/1 IP = FREE

Cottonelle TP 24 pack- $12.99 (if you buy 2 they are 9.99 but I had a catalina coupon for $6/1 so I got this for $6.99 which is .29/roll. My buy price is .25/roll but since I had the 10/50 and an extra 10% off this was a great deal).

Lucerne Eggs 18pk 1.99 w/ in ad q

Sfwy Milk x 4 $7.96

Sfwy Select Fruit Bars $2.50- used $1/1 store q I told you about here

Sfwy frozen potatoes $3.00

Lucerne Butter .99 w/ in ad q

Tyson Chicken Tenders $7.99 BOGO- used (2) $1/1 MQ $2.99 each

Ground Beef $3.83- used $2/1 store q

Waterfront Tarter Sauce- $2- used $2/1 store q = FREE

Grapes- $1.80 (these were .66 lb at my store!)

So the total was $23 after $10/50 and the 10% discount. I used my $10 catalina from the frozen food promotion last month and $11 in catalinas from the Bertolli and Pledge deals. I paid $1.77 oop. So I saved about 44% on a bad coupon day ๐Ÿ™‚

Another transaction: I received some Kashi tearpad coupons in the mail and my store had the frozen pizzas on sale for $4.00. I bought 2 pizzas and used $3/1 coupons- after discount these were .57 each.
Let me know if you have any questions! I hope you had a better trip than I did this weekend.

Wow! That’s great that you were able to use more than one ad coupon. I am only able to use one in San Jose. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Aren’t you loving the state tax? I can’t believe how high it is now!
