How do the weeks keep going by so fast? Now that I am 800 weeks pregnant getting dinner on the table every night seems like more of a challenge. Good thing Safeway has been giving me groceries the last few week’s as we are stuffed to the brim! We have 5 people staying with us this week and thank goodness for coupons as I am happy we have an abundance of food to serve.
Here is what I have planned:
MONDAY: Kashi Frozen Pizzas (they were .57 each at Sfwy!)
TUESDAY: Calzones– Homemade pizza dough- regular has marinara, cheese, pepperoni and veggie version substitutes vegetarian sausage w/ steamed veggies
WEDNESDAY: Tacos- regular version uses ground beef, veggie version has Boca burgers chopped up and sauteed with taco seasoning
THURSDAY: Mushroom spaghetti w/ homemade meatballs & Caesar salad
FRIDAY: Grilled burgers and shoestring fries w/ corn on the cob (veggie version uses Boca burger)
SATURDAY: Cuban Chicken Wraps w/ steamed veggies
SUNDAY: Easter! No cooking for me. I will likely take a dessert- I might try to bake a carrot cake cheesecake recipe that looks incredible.

And be sure to check back here on Wednesday for my Bargain Meal of the Week featuring a recipe for 4- under $5 using items from Safeway’s ad.
And then come back again on Thursday for Try This Thursday where I make a recipe from something fantastic I found on the web. This week I am going to try a recipe from a reader to use some of the free cereal in our pantry.
