I am getting ready to start potty training my little girl and after seeking Angie at BabyCheapskate’s advice- narrowed it down to these three potties.
#1 Baby Bjorn Potty $27.99 at Amazon- According to Angie this is extremely easy to clean plus I love all the fun colors.
#2 Graco Soft Seat Trainer $19.99 at Amazon- this one is super cushiony and has a step stool feature to help little ones onto the toliet. It also has a detachable seat that fits on the toliet.
#3 Safety 1st 3in 1 Potty– This potty $19.99 and is apparently better suited for smaller children. I have a big girl so I am not sure about this one. It is a 3 in 1 though, meaning it converts to a step stool and the lid detaches to fit on your toliet.
If you are beginning potty training these were the top 3 I found with thanks to BabyCheapskate and now I just need to make up my mind! I’d love any comments from readers that have experience with these potties.

I have the babybjorn potty and it really is super easy to clean up. My DD is only 10 months old, but I have been doing some early potty training with her, so I can only attest to the potty’s use for that.

I agree – Baby Bjorn is definitely the easiest to clean! Older kids can also dump the contents themselves with this one – though whether this is a plus or a minus depends on the child.

I think #3 is the one we have – I hate it! Well, as far as dumping and cleaning the “bowl”. It always splashes everything around and stuff sticks really bad (and it’s kind of deep). Ugh, I put it away and am looking at buying another one. I thought the comfy seat would be wonderful for our son. But dumping it and cleaning it have been horrible. (This is our 3rd or 4th potty, 3rd child to potty train.) May just be my experience?

I began using the Baby Bjorn (#1) with my son at 7 months. It was comfortable for him (I liked the extra support offered by the back) and it was super easy to clean. He sat on the potty each morning while we read a book. If he went great, if not no problem. He began waking up with dry diapers by 9 months!
As a bonus, the size is large enough so after he was trained, we could take it on long car trips (or camping) for that inevitable “I have to go” when there was no clean bathroom in sight. Just a quick clean of the “pot” with a baby wipe and we were back on the road and did a more thorough cleaning when we reached our destination.
It was the best baby purchase I ever made!!!
