New Coupon in the toolbar.

Click on the toolbar to the right to print the .75/1 Kernel Season’s Popcorn Seasoning. There are several flavors from Barbeque to Ranch to jazz up your popcorn. I have purchased these for $1.49-1.99 at Kmart and Walmart. If your Kmart allows IP coupons you can probably get two for free (or nearly free).

Today is the Home Depot class for ladies- attend the class, learn how to tile, and get a free $10 gift card. I plan to go as the class is only 1 hour and we are really hoping to tile our bathrooms and kitchen this year.

Sign up by clicking the Home Depot box on the right and make sure to TIVO Grey’s Anatomy. You will need a photo and rendering of whatever you hope to tile- I am looking forward to getting an accurate assessment of the scope and cost of our projects. Home Depot promises to show you tips to get the most bang out of your buck.

Lysol Rebate

03/25/2009

Share

Lysol currently has 2 different rebates going- one buy 3 different items and get $3 back (does not include Neutra Air products) which runs 3/15-5/15. The second ends 3/31 and is for $5 back when you buy 2 products and send in a pediatrician bill from 1/08-3/09. The rebates can be found here.

There are a few good deals on Lysol products right now- since the $3/3 rebate runs for a few more months you might want to hold onto your receipts.
Walmart: Lysol Wipes Canisters $2- use $1/1 from 3/15 SS (some people have spotted 2 pks of canisters for $2)

Safeway: Lysol Wipes $2.50- use $1/1 from 3/15 SS = $1.50 (part of the mix and match promo)
Lysol All Purpose Cleaner $2.50- use .50/1 from 3/15 SS = $1.50
Have you spotted any great deals on Lysol products? Let us know!

Best ever chocolate chip cookies.

03/25/2009

Share

If you have read this blog for more than 5 seconds you may have guessed I have a SERIOUS sweet tooth. I love fresh baked goods and chocolate chip cookies are at the top of the list. This is the best recipe ever and really does make those soft chewy cookies you spend a fortune for at the mall. My frugal twist is to skip the chocolate chips. I hate paying $2/bag so I stockpile free chocolate like crazy. I then chop up the chocolate and use it in the cookies- that has the added benefit of looking even more gourmet. These were made using Dove dark chocolate.
Enjoy! Let me know what you think if you try them!
Recipe is from Allrecipes- find it here.

My favorite cookbook!

03/25/2009

Share

I just love the cookbook Deceptively Delicious for so many reasons- it is the perfect cookbook for frugal divas. The book is all about sneaking veggies into basic, everyday recipes for your whole family. My daughter loves veggies so I actually use the tips to sneak veggies to my husband :) It is a perfect cookbook for frugal shoppers as everything is very simple and easy to prepare and shows new ideas for using things you may already have. I started pureeing all my fruits and veggies before they started to go bad after getting this book. Just pop them in the freezer and the book offers a ton of different ways you can use those purees in stuff you are already making.

I have tried almost every recipe and they really are delicious for children and adults. I made several items out of the cookbook this week for Menu Planning Monday. Check out my post here. Also if you have leftover pumpkin cans from the holidays- her pumpkin oatmeal is my favorite recipe.

You can check it out at the library or buy it used from the Amazon toolbar on the right. This is a great gift idea for a new mommy!
